Fiberglass Mat is the most basic and commonly used reinforcement in composites. It's used both as a skin coat to bond gelcoats​ and between rovings and cloths as a binder to bond substrates and cores in a laminate.
Recommended for skin coating and back up laminating in general purpose, open mold processes using polyester, vinyl ester and DCPD resins. It is designed to give good dry handling performance, provide a quick wet through and wet out, and good conformability with sufficient strength to allow wet handling.
